STAGE ONE: YOUR SETUP

Below is an overview of what we need in order to streamline your website design process. While we work to get your project set up, below are a few things you can begin to gather to help us along the way!

YOUR LOGO

PDF, EPS or High Res JPEG & PNG if possible. If you do not have one, our design team can help you. Please review our most current offerings.


IMAGES & GRAPHICS

Current and/or new images and graphics you’d like to use on the new site.

We will provide a template on Asana to assist you with organizing this!

HOSTING CREDENTIALS

Your hosting account login and/or cpanel username and password for access (if applicable depending on the platform selected)


CONTENT

Page content/verbiage/information for the site broken down, page by page.

We will provide a template on Asana to assist you with organizing this!

WORDPRESS/SQUARESPACE LOGIN

An administrator login to your current site. We recommend creating temporary login details (If you have an existing account)


STYLE GUIDE

Brand style guide, mood board, colors, or any specific design requirements.

We will provide a template on Asana to help you organize this!


STAGE TWO: OUR SYSTEMS

ASANA

Asana is an amazing web and mobile application designed to help teams organize, track, and manage their work. We’ll be using this to send messages, share files and track progress during the web design process. This will help alleviate communication being lost in long email threads. Click here to create your free Asana account. Once your project is underway, you will receive an email to join our Asana team project and we’ll be off and running!


GOOGLE DRIVE

Google Drive is a great online image/file sharing platform. This isn’t necessary for every project, but if you have more than 15-20 images for your website or it they’re too big to send through email or Asana, we can definitely use our agency drive folder. We can also use this to share important logins and credentials instead of sending them through email. Click here to create your free gmail account. Once your project is underway, we will set up a designated folder for your project, and share the folder with you via email.

STAGE THREE: OUR PROCESS

INITIAL PLANNING

The first order of business is for our team to sit down and create a detailed set of design and technical specifications. These specifications serve as a clear roadmap for the rest of the web design process.

DEVELOPMENT

We’ll kick off the technical side of the web design process. This will include deploying your CMS, using your theme and page designs, and adding in your content & images. We cannot begin this process until we have received content & images.

WIRE FRAMING

Wireframes are your first chance to visualize your website. While they’re not nearly as detailed as the final site will be, they give us a visual representation of the site’s overall layout and the design we plan to develop.

TESTING

Once our designers have finished their work, our Quality Assurance team will test your site’s performance. We’ll use tools to benchmark your site for responsiveness and speed to ensure that it works reliably on web browsers and mobile devices.

MOCKUPS

Once the site wireframe is completed and approved, we’ll proceed with site mockups utilizing your brand guide. These add color and a bit more detail to the initial wireframes, giving us a stronger visual representation of the final product.

DEPLOYMENT & OPTIMIZATION

Once we’re sure that your site is ready to be released to the public, we’ll deploy it on your public domain. We will compile all website data in a easy to use PDF file, to make sure your details are always readily accessible for you and your team.

What platform do you design on?

We design on Wordpress & Squarespace. We will make a recommendation based on the specifications you need for your new website.

Do I need to have my content and images ready before the project starts?

The best projects are well thought out and prepared before any designs are conceptualized. You must have all website content (imagery and text) ready to go by our agreed upon start date. If you are struggling with this, you can opt in for Image Collation add on, for an additional charge. Please ask your project manager for the most current rates.

What is website hosting/why do I need it/who is my host?

Think of it like the “land” or space where your website live. If you are building your new site on Wordpress, you will need to purchase a hosting plan in order to launch your site (like purchasing 'land').

Do you purchase the hosting plan/domain name for me?

No. For hosting, you will need to purchase a hosting plan separately and we go through this process when you are ready to launch your site. For domains,you will need to purchase your own domain name and provide us with the permissions to access the account. Dyme Agency is not responsible for server downtime, software issues or any other compatibility issue that may arise after the launch of the site from your hosting or domain provider.

How long will my project take?

We provide a timeframe of 6 weeks for a full website build and 4 weeks for a redesign. However, timeframes are fluid, and often vary depending on our ability to receive all your content as well as revision feedback in good timing. We will work together to ensure that your project is moving along, and we provide regular updates to keep you informed along the way!

Will you write my website copy?

We are in charge of the design of your website and the look and feel of the visuals. However, we can offer copywriting at an additional fee. Our extended team of creative writers can write your entire website copy! They have their own process (and rates) and will work with you to strategize your content around your unique message.

Will you maintain my site after launch?

We currently offer maintenance services on a selective basis.

Do you provide SEO for my site?

Included in all our website packages is basic SEO set up to optimize your website to the best of our ability. Writing for SEO is not included and is best done by your copywriting professional. If you require additional, specific or on going SEO services we can recommend an SEO expert who can give you specialist help.
