ABOUT

The Austin African American Book Festival is a premier annual literary celebration dedicated to uplifting Black authors, stories, and culture. Since 2007, the festival has brought together nationally recognized writers, emerging voices, educators, and readers for a free community event that inspires learning, fosters meaningful dialogue, and celebrates the power of Black literature. Through author talks, children’s programming, independent author showcases, and cultural experiences, AAABF continues to build community and promote literacy across Central Texas

THE CHALLENGE

The Austin African American Book Festival team sought an experienced event management partner to seamlessly execute both their preliminary Prelude and the Main Event. They required expert support across comprehensive event planning, on-site production, and professional staffing to ensure a flawless experience for authors and attendees alike. Additionally, they needed a select suite of high-impact graphic design assets to effectively promote and support the festival's roll-out across digital and print platforms.

THE SOLUTION

We conducted strategy sessions to align our execution with the festival's mission and core values. Leveraging our specialized expertise, we delivered across three key areas:

  1. Event Production: Managed technical staging and environmental setups to ensure high-quality live execution.

  2. Event Planning & Staffing: Coordinated logistical operations and deployed a professional on-site team to streamline guest flows and event delivery.

  3. Graphic Design: Developed a select suite of high-impact digital and print assets to maintain promotional consistency for both the Prelude and Main Event.

I couldn’t have done it without the Dyme Team. Thank you for your unwavering support and partnership!
